Dr. NeilProOrtho is proud to announce that our own Dr. Neil E. Roberts has been awarded the 2016 Physician Award by the Washington State Athletic Trainers’ Association. The 2016 WSATA Physician Award recognizes one physician each year in our state who exemplifies a commitment of service in the profession of athletic training.

In addition to treating patients at ProOrtho, Dr. Roberts also serves as the team physician for the US Soccer Women’s National Teams and for Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. For more than 18 years at Northwest University, Dr. Roberts has donated hundreds of hours providing health care for injured athletes. His contributions include preseason physicals, injury clinics, surgical repairs, physical therapy referrals, and gratis office visits.

Neil E. Roberts M.D. is one of the more acclaimed Eastside orthopedic surgeons. He is focused on keeping his patients healthy and active. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, trauma and fractures, and athletic injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee, foot and ankle.

As Dr. Roberts explains, “Competitive athletes, whether at the high school level or the professional level, face different challenges when they are injured. I provide treatment directed at allowing athletes to return to their sports safely and rapidly.”

The Washington State Athletic Trainers’ Association (WSATA) is the official state organization representing Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainers in the state of Washington. They are committed to taking an active collaborative role with other allied health professions to educate and provide appropriate medical care for physically active populations.
