Locknane and Nelson Join ProOrtho

ProOrtho recently welcomed two new doctors to our orthopedic medical family. We are proud to announce that Timothy Locknane, MD and Daniel Nelson, MD are now part of our network of eastside orthopedic clinics.

Dr. Timothy Locknane offers personalized, comprehensive musculoskeletal care and procedural medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Washington, where he was a member of the Mortarboard Society and Phi Gamma Delta. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin (formerly Marquette University Medical School) in 1995 with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Locknane then completed his residency in Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale in 1998 finishing in the 98th percentile of his board examination. He then completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of Washington and received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine following his board examination. Since 1999, he has been on staff at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center. As a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, Dr. Locknane is active in continuing medical education and community educational presentations.

Dr. Daniel Nelson grew up in Tacoma, WA and graduated from the University of Washington Phi Beta Kappa with honors. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Southern California, Dr. Nelson did his residency training in Anesthesiology with a fellowship in Pain Management at the USC Medical Center in Los Angeles County. He was elected chief resident by his peers during his final year of training. He has been practicing pain management since 1989.

After completing his residency, Dr. Nelson started a private practice in Palm Springs, developing the pain clinic at Desert Hospital. In 1993, he returned home to the Pacific Northwest and helped establish the first hospital-based pain service on Seattle’s eastside at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center. Dr Nelson has been named one of Puget Sound’s “Top Doctors” by Seattle Magazine (2004) and most recently by Seattle Met Magazine (2016).

Sarah Goble, MPAS, PA-C will be joining Dr. Nelson at ProOrtho as his certified physician’s assistant. She earned her undergraduate Human Nutrition degree at Arizona State University and her masters as a Physician Assistant at Midwestern University in Arizona, where she finished 15 months of clinical training. Sarah is interested in Sports Medicine as well as Interventional Pain Management. She was also recognized this year by Seattle Met Magazine as a Top Physician Assistant in Pain Management.

Finally, Garrett Gray, PA-C also joined the ProOrtho team. Garrett is originally from northern California and started working in the medical field at Harborview Medical Center assisting anesthesia in the operating room. He graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington Medical School (MEDEX) in 2012. He brings experience from general surgery and orthopedic surgery to the ProOrtho. Currently, he works with Dr. Addison Stone in minimally invasive spine surgery and sees patients in clinic with spine-related disorders.
