Timothy Locknane, MD

Dr. Locknane offers personalized, comprehensive musculoskeletal care and procedural medicine with the goal of a timely return to function following injury.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Washington, where he was a member of Mortarboard Society and the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. He graduated with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society from Medical College of Wisconsin (formerly Marquette University Medical School) in 1995.

Dr. Locknane completed a residency in Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, and finished in the 98th percentile on his board examination in 1998. In July of 2005, he successfully sat for re-certification. Tim next completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of Washington and received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine following board examination in 1999. He successfully sat for re-certification last in 2009.

Dr. Locknane has been on staff at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland since 1999. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Locknane is active in continuing medical education and community educational presentations.

Dr. Locknane is enjoying his 20th year as volunteer sports medicine physician for the Bothell High School Cougars. Dr. Timothy D. Locknane is a native of Seattle where he attended Shorewood High School in Shoreline, Washington. He was a multi-sport athlete and graduated from the honors program in the top 5% of his class. He is a busy husband and father of four children. He remains an active athlete, enjoying occasional triathlons and multi-sport recreational racing, though not with the same frequency as a decade ago! Tim enjoys reading, general mechanics, home maintenance & remodeling, boating, hiking, skiing, and just spending time with his family and friends.
