Medical Assistant

Job Description:

ProOrtho, a Division of Proliance Surgeons, is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to work in the Kirkland clinic. Medical Assistants play a critical role by supporting the work of the physician and physician assistant in the delivery of care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet and room patients in a clinic setting
  • Obtain vital signs and gather pertinent patient information
  • Inform patients of lab results, call in prescriptions to pharmacies and return providers phone messages
  • Accurately update electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Coordinate patient visit and eases congestion in clinic with quick turnover of patients
  • Keep rooms stocked and organized
  • Organize paperwork and filing
  • Coordinate with front office personnel and ancillary staff in professional and positive manner in adherence of policies and procedures in support of patient service
  • Communicate provider instructions to hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, etc.
  • Schedule tests properly, obtain outside records and images as needed prior to patients appointment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Medical Assistant License, Certification, or Registration
