Medical Assistant
Job Description:
ProOrtho, a Division of Proliance Surgeons, is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to work in the Kirkland clinic. Medical Assistants play a critical role by supporting the work of the physician and physician assistant in the delivery of care.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Greet and room patients in a clinic setting
- Obtain vital signs and gather pertinent patient information
- Inform patients of lab results, call in prescriptions to pharmacies and return providers phone messages
- Accurately update electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinate patient visit and eases congestion in clinic with quick turnover of patients
- Keep rooms stocked and organized
- Organize paperwork and filing
- Coordinate with front office personnel and ancillary staff in professional and positive manner in adherence of policies and procedures in support of patient service
- Communicate provider instructions to hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, etc.
- Schedule tests properly, obtain outside records and images as needed prior to patients appointment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Medical Assistant License, Certification, or Registration
