Which Physician Should I See?

Your symptoms and condition will determine which physician you should see. We have several orthopedic specialists on staff, and each one specializes in the treatment of a specific musculoskeletal region: spine, shoulder, hip, foot/ankle, knee, hand, etc. When scheduling an appointment please let our staff know which region you are concerned about. They will make an appointment for you with the appropriate physician.

What is a Physician Assistant?

Many of our physicians will have a physician assistant on their team who participates in your care. Physician assistants are healthcare professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. Physician assistants see patients in the office, as well as assist the physicians in surgery.

How do I reach my provider if I have more questions or a problem?

Please call 425-823-4000. For all emergencies call 911.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major insurance plans. Please contact our office to inquire about your plan.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

ProOrtho does not require a referral for you to be seen. However, you will want to check with your insurance carrier before your first appointment. Some insurance carriers require a referral from your primary care provider prior to being seen in our office.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please call the office to make an appointment at 425-823-4000 or use our online appointment request form and a receptionist will call you within 24-48 hours.

What do I need to do to prepare for my first appointment?

You must obtain any previous X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, operative reports and any other notes associated with your current condition. Please complete the new patient paperwork that has been sent to you prior to your appointment.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?
  • Your identification and insurance card(s).
  • Your completed new patient paperwork that has been sent to you, this will save time on the day of your appointment.
  • Some insurance carriers require you have a referral or primary care authorization before treatment is given. Please check with your carrier.
  • Please bring copies of your medical records include chart notes, X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, radiology reports, operative reports, etc.
  • A pair of gym shorts for knee and hip exams.
  • A tank top or sleeveless shirt for shoulder exams.
What do I do if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us as far in advance as possible so we may use that time to see another patient in need of care.

What if I need surgery?

Upon completion of your appointment with the surgeon and it has been assessed that you will need surgery. You will have the opportunity to meet with your surgeon’s surgery scheduler. He/she will go over all the required items you will need to have completed prior to your surgery. If medical clearance is needed prior to surgery, the surgery scheduler will help you get the tests you need done. If you do not need medical clearance tests done, the surgery scheduler will set up your appointment at that visit. If you have any questions regarding surgery scheduling, please call the office and ask to speak with your surgeon’s surgery scheduler.

Where will my surgery take place?

Our surgeons operate out of Evergreen Medical Center, Swedish Orthopedics Institute, Swedish Medical Center – Issaquah, Overlake, and the Proliance Eastside Surgery Center. The type of surgery and your insurance plan will determine the location.
